Rotary Screen FiltersRotary screen filters are a kind of filter
that separates solid particles from liquid by spinning a drum. The liquid is
poured into the drum's centre, and as the drum rotates, the solid particles are
pushed to the drum's edge. The liquid is then gathered on the interior of the
drum while the solid particles are released from the filter. In order to reuse
the water, rotary screen filters filter out dirt and plant materials. An infeed
pipe or flume is used to feed dirty water into a revolving drum. To allow water
to pass through, the drum is built of wedge-shaped wire screen with an opening
of 0.2 to 2 mm. |
